GIMO’s fantastic year continued as they won yet another award – this time being acknowledged as aleading player at the Global Search Awards by winning within the PPC category. The award followed a list of nominations for our fantastic Paid Search team at GIMO and Head of Paid Search, Vinay Ranganath, said the win came as a surprise to his team. He said: “We had been nominated for the last six or seven awards and although it didn’t come as asurprise that we were nominated, it came as a pleasant surprise to win. “We are competing against so many of the biggest brands globally. What matters for the judges isthe results and it proves that them picking us shows our marketing campaign has been effective.” The success backs up a phenomenal year for the PPC team and Vinay explained why his team havebeen so successful. He added: “It is all about savings and effective in terms of driving extra revenue. We work with big budgets across all the markets and over one year in 2020, we saved around £1.4million and this wasreinvested. “We were saving money but investing to get better results and got the right results for the company. We proved that to the judges and this has been a real team effort.” Although the win at the Global Search Awards was a deserved one for Vinay and his team, he saidthat their main focus is to improve further. He said: “We have a long way to go still. One of things about these awards is you can’t plan this award. Our motive is not to win awards, our motive is to do a good job. We will continue to do the job we are doing and building case studies and the awards are a real bonus for us. “The work that my team have put in is the reason why we have won this award.”
