The Role:
The Compliance officer fulfilling this role will be responsible for maintaining the regulatory license obligations for the Danish Gambling Authority (DGA). The fundamental responsibility is to ensure compliance with the licence regulations and governing legislation within the applicable jurisdiction. The officer is responsible for co-ordination, development and embedding of the Group’s compliance framework within the each market whilst ensure they have consideration for commercial growth.
You will be required to oversee and manage the tasks and issues in a timely manner, and provide the necessary updates to the compliance and operations managers. You’ll work with and support the business on any compliance related queries, including some day to day AML duties as designated by the Group MLRO.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, process and monitor license obligations for the DGA
- Assisting the team in performing audits and reviews
- Review, update and design effective processes and policies
- Controlling the end to end management of created tasks
- Oversee the end-end process for customer claims and legal disputes
- Advising on the compliance requirements for the license, including awareness of Technical and Marketing requirements, and applicable laws which might be relevant to the operating of a gaming licence.
- Communicate effectively and develop strong relationships with regulatory authorities for approvals and to ensure the company meets regulatory requirements
- Develop project plans, reports and schedules to relevant stakeholders and teams to manage expectations and to ensure work is delivered within scope and on time Review, update and design effective processes and policies
- Undertake operational compliance reviews of applicable regulations, acquiring evidence of compliance ensuring that they are in line with policy, working with internal partners on any areas of non-compliance and generating regular and routine reports on the same to management
- Implement changes and procedures in line with business strategy that allow the markets to grow whilst remaining compliant
- Obtain and operate within the requirements of the Key Positions (to be applied for if needed)
- Undertake day-to-day AML tasks such as customer reviews and maintenance of associated policies/procedures
General Compliance:
- Participation in ad hoc and project work as required e.g. development projects, process changes
- Co-ordinate compliance in relation to products, strategies and operational processes and procedures, Working with partners and management.
- Working closely (showing flexibility, strong communication skills and being a teammate) with the business verticals to ensure full support in launching new products/features/promotions in compliant manner.
