Role Overview:

The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for ensuring all invoices are posted on time, supporting the timely delivery of monthly management accounts, and performing key accounting functions, including bank reconciliations. This role requires strong attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to communicate effectively with management to address any potential bottlenecks before they occur.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Posting & Monthly Management Accounts:
    • Ensure that all invoices are posted accurately and on time to facilitate the timely preparation of monthly management accounts.
    • Work closely with the finance team to ensure management accounts are delivered by the agreed-upon deadlines each month.
  • Bank Reconciliations:
    • Perform weekly bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of cash flow and bank balances.
    • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Routine & Non-Routine Tasks:
    • Assist in both routine tasks (e.g., journal entries, month-end closings) and non-routine tasks (e.g., ad hoc reporting, special projects) as required by the finance team.
    • Support with audit preparation and ensure all necessary documentation is available.
  • Accountability & Communication:
    • Take full responsibility for the timely completion of key tasks, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
    • Maintain flexibility and adapt to changing priorities and tasks as needed, balancing daily operations with ad-hoc requirements.
  • Proactively communicate with management about any potential delays or bottlenecks in processes, addressing issues before they affect deadlines.

Person Specifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience in an accounting role, preferably within the iGaming or gaming industry.
  • Experience with posting invoices, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating accountability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • A team player with a collaborative approach to working with colleagues across the business.
